I’m delighted to say that I’ll be back at The Bath Tap Craft Bar in Morecambe tomorrow evening, Thursday 15 October 2026, for another wonderful night of poetry and spoken word.
There’s something rather special about sharing poetry in good company. Whether a poem makes you laugh, brings back a memory, offers a moment of reflection or simply gives you a different way of looking at the world, words have a remarkable ability to bring people together.
And what better place to enjoy them than the welcoming surroundings of The Bath Tap?

I’ll be sharing some of my poetry and looking forward to hearing the words, stories and experiences of other writers and performers.
Whether you’re an experienced poet, someone who has written a few verses but never shared them aloud, or simply someone who enjoys listening, you’re very welcome to come along.
You don’t have to perform to enjoy a poetry evening!
There’s plenty to be said for sitting back with a drink, enjoying the atmosphere and discovering the wonderful variety of words people bring to the microphone.
A few words can go a long way
One of the things I enjoy most about poetry is that it doesn’t have to be grand or complicated to mean something.
Sometimes a few carefully chosen words can capture a lifetime of memories. Sometimes they make us smile. And sometimes they help us understand an experience we thought belonged only to ourselves.
That’s why evenings like this are worth celebrating.
Poetry is for everyone, and there’s always room for another voice.
