Excited to share some great news from The Heron Theatre! It’s my pleasure to confirm the appearance of two talented Wolverhampton story-tellers and poets, Emma Purshouse and Steve Pottinger, at our venue on Friday, February 20th at 7:30 PM.

They’ll be sharing their captivating one-man/one-woman shows in “On The Road.”
Building on this announcement, let’s dive into the details of these fantastic shows!
Emma Purshouse’s Poet Laureate in a Pandemic is a heartfelt exploration about loving the place you live—even if it’s not always that lovable. Expect poetry ruminations about Wolverhampton’s Red Emma and the famous Man on the Oss, drawing from her experiences as the city’s first Poet Laureate during challenging times.
Steve Pottinger’s Sweat & Mugs & Rock and Roll offers anecdotes, stories, and insights into life as a stage manager across some of Europe’s biggest festivals. It’s an evening filled with extraordinary stories and poems from two of the greatest contemporary touring poets!
