Thought I’d post one of the three poems I read tonight, entitled Where has all the truth gone………
WHERE HAS ALL THE TRUTH GONE
Even the sceptics are unsure now
What is the truth and what is fake news?
Who you can trust, and
Who you simply must,
Be wary of
Who are true revolutionaries?
Who are simply mercenaries?
Where are those with ethical ideals?
Rather than those who espouse SELF deals
Even the sceptics are unsure now
Passion is no ordinary word
Passion for real truth is not absurd
Why is such passion
So out of fashion
What are we scared of?
Who are truth peddling ambassadors?
Who are false poetic troubadours?
Where are those who write love sonnets
Not wolves who deceive under bonnets
Passion is no ordinary word
And even the sceptics are unsure now
