I’m overjoyed to be in Haworth this July for one of the highlights of the Yorkshire poetry calendar. Poetry at the Parsonage 10th Anniversary Festival is back! Ten years after Mark Connors curated the very first event with the Brontë Society, this special two-day celebration returns to mark a decade of grassroots poetry, outstanding readings, and community spirit; this time as a fundraiser for Yaffle Press.

Event Details
- Dates: Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th July 2026
- Venue: The Old School Rooms, Church Street, Haworth, BD22 8DR
(Just steps from the Brontë Parsonage Museum https://www.hawortholdschoolroom.org.uk/)
The weekend will feature a rich mix of featured poets, open mic slots, performances, and that warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the original festival so memorable. I’ll be performing across the weekend, reading from my collections and sharing some new poems.
It will be a genuine pleasure to read in Haworth; a place steeped in literary history, alongside so many talented voices from Yorkshire and beyond.

Tickets & Booking
Tickets went on sale 1st January 2026. Watch Mark Connors’ page and Yaffle Press for the full programme and booking details. Every ticket purchased will help support independent poetry publishing through Yaffle. If you love poetry, the Brontës, or simply a inspiring cultural weekend in the beautiful South Pennines, this is the perfect summer event. Bring your friends and come and celebrate words with us!
I look forward to seeing many of you there and sharing the stage with some wonderful poets.
Warm wishes,
Peter Kay
