I’m delighted to be joining fellow members of Promoting Yorkshire Authors for a special autumn book event in Northallerton on Friday 9 October.
From 10.30am until 3.30pm, we will be at Ontano Lounge, 189 High Street, Northallerton, DL7 8LQ, meeting readers, talking about our writing and sharing some of the books produced by authors from across Yorkshire.
Events like this offer something that online bookshops simply cannot reproduce: the opportunity to meet authors in person, discover the stories behind their books and perhaps find a writer or title that you might otherwise never encounter.
I’ll be there with a selection of my own books and would love you to come over for a chat. Whether you already know my work, enjoy supporting independent authors or simply fancy discovering something new to read as the autumn evenings draw in, you will be very welcome.
Promoting Yorkshire Authors brings together writers working across different subjects and genres. That means there should be plenty to explore, from local stories and personal histories to fiction, memoir and other fascinating reads.
The event is also an opportunity to support Yorkshire’s independent writing community. Every conversation, recommendation and book purchased helps local authors continue researching, writing and bringing new stories into the world.
So, if you are in or around Northallerton on Friday, please come along, meet the authors and step into autumn with a great book.
